Mindbody Wellness Clarity Tip:
This Holiday Season, Gift Yourself Kindness! lt Will Lower Your Blood Pressure 🙂
Dear Awesome Woman,
How do you speak to yourself? Is it with words of compassion and kindness like you would speak to a friend?
Or do you criticize yourself in hopes that you’ll change and become the person you’ve always wanted to be, have a better career, marriage, friendship etc.? When you make a mistake do you beat yourself up or rather, as Louise Hay says ‘build yourself up’?
The old model of doing things is pushing and pressuring ourselves to be better, do better, look better, earn more etc. But that old way of being actually results in more stress, more anxiety, and higher blood pressure.
There is a spiritual reality taking place these last few years—the world is moving into a different state of consciousness. A more feminine approach of nurturing, kindness and a state of being are replacing the old way of conquering and fear-centered control.
So, it’s about time that we step onto the escalator of higher consciousness and bring our bodies into a greater state of peace, well-being, and serenity.
One way to do this is to speak kindly to ourselves. We may not be used to doing this—many of us grew up with criticism and pressure, fear and shame. But the good news is is that if you’re reading this it means that you are adult enough to read, and therefore adult enough to repair the damage of the past.
As Louise Hay says “ In order for a child to grow and blossom, it needs love, acceptance, and praise. We can be shown ‘better’ ways to do things without making the way we do it ‘wrong.’ The child inside of you still needs that love and approval.”
So, make the choice to reparent yourself and your inner child by saying these kind phrases from Louise Hay each morning. Your blood pressure will lower, your nervous system will smile, and you’ll even look younger (I’ve been told that!).
Put your hand on your heart, close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out. Open your eyes and say:
“I love you and know that you are doing the best you can.”
“You are perfect just as you are.”
“You become more wonderful every day.”
“I approve of you.”
“Let’s see if we can find a better way to do this.”
“Growing and changing is fun, and we can do it together.”
Enjoy the newfound peace you have and soar with your spirit wings!
