MInd-body Wellness: We Need A Team
Mind-body Wellness Tip:
We Need a Team
Dear Awesome Woman,
When it comes to Wellness, we need a team. A team of kind, wonderful people who we can share our confusions of life with and get clarity; a team of healers who can hear our emotions, help us heal our bodies, and soothe our souls. A mix of friends, massage specialists, coaches, intuitives, physical therapists, somatic healers, EMDR or EFT therapists, etc. can make up a supportive web of people who will hold you through thick and thin, through wonder and delight. They will share in your joy and help you through your pain. Because this is what living as a soul in a body in a dense physical world looks like. The ups and downs, revealed wonder and unfortunate pain are part of the package of living. To keep our heads up and prevent ourselves from drowning when the turbulent waters of life get rowdy, we have this team to call upon.
When I started my healing journey many years ago (until then, I was just in dissociation and fog), I began to build my team. And the main characteristic of my team, one that was a necessity, not a luxury, was kindness. I had had unkind, critical, judgemental people in my life (hence, the source of my emotional and body pain), and so I held clearly in mind, when I built my team, that I would only choose those people who I felt truly safe with, ones who were nurturing and authentic. I would allow no energy vampires, no borderlines, no manipulators. My team would function from a place of clean love with no hints of emotional blackmail. What is emotional blackmail? That’s for another newsletter, but believe you me, it’s not something that you want in your life. I wanted no funky energy that confused me or sent me into more fog than I had already lived in.
Some of the members of my team were there because there was deep love and connection, while others I paid (and we developed deep love and connection as well). But all I had chosen carefully and and mindfully. Sometimes circumstances would change and I’d move onto other new wonderful people to put on my team having gratitude for the guidance and healing I received from those who were stepping stones along my journey.
We are not islands and especially if we suffer from mind-body pain symptoms, we’re not able to lean all the way onto just one or two people. They can’t handle the weight of our life, our worries, our complexities. But when we distribute that weight amongst our team, then everyone can handle us, including ourselves. We’ll get the help we need. We’ll get healed. We’ll get joy. We’ll be free.
Need help in building your team? Wondering what emotional blackmail is and if your mind-body pain is a result of it? Feel free to reach out and schedule your complimentary Clarity session today 🙂 I love helping women experience joy, health, and freedom!
Love & blessings,
Miriam Racquel (Meryl)
