A Minute Meditation To Relax Your Nervous System

Dear Awesome Woman,
I hope that you and your loved ones are faring well during this challenging time. I have found that each day seems to carry its own energy, not just personally, but globally.
I use different Mindbody techniques to weather the waves of emotions that arise for both myself and my clients. These are very helpful since the caterpillar of our existence is dissolving and new identities are asking to be formed.
I’m also using a few meditations that are helpful for calming the nervous system and I’d like to share one here. It’s super short which is the kind of meditation I love 🙂
This one is from one of my mentors, life coach, sociologist and author, Martha Beck.
- Look around you and notice things that are the color white.
- Then look around you and notice things that are the color black.
- Then look around you and notice things that are the color red.
- Then bring all three colors into your field of vision, noticing things that are white, that are black, that are red.
- Feel what it feels like in your body to notice all of this at once. For me, there is a special calmness that drops into my being when I do this.
